We take care of the practical close-out: make sure you correctly terminate your lease, prepare you for the handover so you know which deducations by the landlord to expect, cancel utilities, internet/phone, TV/cable, and GEZ for you and make sure we receive confirmations, organise mail forwarding, and handle all key authority notifications—so you leave Germany cleanly and no bad surprises happen a year later.
Yes. We guide the steps that matter for compliance, including notifying the right authorities (e.g., deregistration, Foreigners Office, benefits, tax authority) based on your situation.
Yes. But we will then charge a set-up fee of €200. If our support is only necessary one specific step → send a 1:1 Support Request and let us know which step it is. We will then give you the price for just that service.
No one can guarantee a landlord’s decision. What we do is prepare you and tell you—while virtually walking through your apartment—what you need to renovate to avoid deductions. We also protect you with clean documentation: the handover protocol, meter readings, and persistent follow-up on the deposit and final settlement.
We may also recommend a last-minute legal expenses insurance policy if we believe it’s worth the money.
It’s not part of the package, but you can book handover accompaniment for an additional €350. We’ll discuss this during the virtual tour of your apartment and recommend it if it makes sense for your risk level.
We don’t do an in-person inspection beforehand—only the virtual tour. We personally see the apartment’s condition during the handover, and only then can we follow up on repair topics after the handover.
Yes. We cancel the relevant contracts and follow up on confirmations and final bills so nothing keeps running after you leave.
The number of private contracts (magazins, gym, clubs, insurances etc) is limited to five. Any additional cancellation will be charged with €25.
Usually, yes. If there are loose ends—deposit follow-up, final bills, missed cancellations, or authority notifications—we can step in and help close them out. You don’t need to be physically in Germany for that.
Just don’t wait too long: delays can trigger penalties or keep you liable for costs for a few more months—often up to three.
