THE MOST POPULAR DISTRICTS OF BERLIN
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO LIVE WHEN MOVING TO BERLIN
Berlin is pulsating with life - but certainly not everywhere. There are also districts where single and double houses with gardens dominate. Moreover, some parts of Berlin have been heavily bombed during Second World War. This is where you would now find a rather simple architecture, unless they have also already been knocked down and replaced with modern Bauhaus style apartment blocks. The third important building style is the so-called Plattenbauten, home for working class masses in the former democratic republic of Germany and of outstanding ugliness. Nonetheless, even these neighborhoods gained charme over the last 20 years since reunion.
